The King, Royal Founding President, this evening held a Reception at St. James's Palace for The King's Foundation Awards.

His Majesty was represented by the Very Reverend Professor David Fergusson (Dean of the Chapel Royal in Scotland) at the Funeral of the Very Reverend Dr. James Simpson (former Chaplain to The late Queen and Extra Chaplain to The King) which was held at St. Leonard's in the Fields Church, Marshall Place, Perth, this afternoon.

The Princess Royal this morning opened Mercator Media Limited's Twenty Fifth Anniversary Seawork Marine Exhibition at Mayflower Park, Southampton, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire (Mr. Nigel Atkinson).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, British Nutrition Foundation, this afternoon visited the British Armed Forces Nutrition Programme at The Royal Logistic Corps Regimental Museum, Connaught Road, Kings Worthy, Worthy Down, Winchester, and was received by Lieutenant General Sir Mark Mans (Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Farms for City Children, and Past Master, Worshipful Company of Butchers, later attended a Festival of Learning at Butchers' Hall, 87 Bartholomew Close, London EC1.

The Princess Royal, Royal Fellow, the Royal Academy of Engineering, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended The Prince Philip Fund Commemoration Dinner at Prince Philip House, 3 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1, and was received by Colonel Jane Davis (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Thame Community Shed, Kingsley Road, Thame, and was received by Mr. Brian Buchan (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Thame War Memorial, Upper High Street, Thame, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mrs. Marjorie Glasgow).

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this afternoon visited Wellford Gardens Care Home, Park Hill, Wheatley, Oxfordshire.

His Royal Highness later visited Oxford Photovoltaics Limited, Unit 7-8 Oxford Pioneer Park, Mead Road, Yarnton, Oxfordshire.

St. James's Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund, this morning attended the Council (Advisory) Board Meeting at 67 Portland Place, London W1.

His Royal Highness, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this afternoon received Mr. Jonathan Spence (Pro Grand Master) at Kensington Palace.

Windsor Castle

The King, Colonel-in-Chief, today presented new Colours to the Irish Guards in the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle.

Having been received upon arrival by the Regimental Lieutenant Colonel (Major General Sir Christopher Ghika) and the Regimental Adjutant (Major Niall Hall), His Majesty was received on Parade with a Royal Salute and inspected the Regiment.

After the Colours were consecrated The King presented them to the Regiment.

The King was graciously pleased to address the Parade and the Parade Commander (Major Richard Trant) replied.

The Irish Guards afterwards marched past His Majesty.

Kensington Palace

The Prince of Wales, President, the Football Association, this morning visited the England Men's European Football Championship Team at St. George's Park, Newborough Road, Needwood, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal this afternoon attended Bramham International Horse Trials Prize Giving at Bramham Park, Wetherby, on its Fiftieth Anniversary and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire (Mr. Edmund Anderson).

Windsor Castle

The Queen, Patron, The Queen's Reading Room, this evening attended a Reception for The Queen's Reading Room Literary Festival at Hampton Court Palace, East Molesey, Surrey, and afterwards attended a Festival performance at the Palace.

St. James's Palace

The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning opened the Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Society Flower Show in Windsor Great Park.

The Duchess of Edinburgh, President, South of England Agricultural Society, this morning attended the South of England Show, Selsfield Road, Ardingly, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex (the Lady Emma Barnard).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, this afternoon opened the Blind Veterans UK Rustington Centre of Wellbeing, Seafield Road, Rustington, and was received by Sir Richard Kleinwort, Bt. (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex).
