Buckingham Palace

The King, as Sovereign of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, with The Queen, Grand Master, drove to St. Paul's Cathedral this morning to attend a Service of the Order.

Their Majesties were received at the foot of the Cathedral Steps by the Rt. Hon. the Lord Mayor and at the Great West Door by the Dean of St. Paul's, the Chapter, the Bishop of London (Prelate of the Order) and the Lay Officials of the Order.

His Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms and The King's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The King and Queen gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace to celebrate the Creative Industries.

The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess of Gloucester were present.

His Majesty's Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen-at-Arms and The King's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard were on duty.

The Band of the Royal Marines Collingwood played selections of music during the afternoon.

Later the Rt. Hon. Rishi Sunak MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of The King.

His Majesty was represented by Major Christopher Cox (Lieutenant of The King's Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard) at the Memorial Service for Major Thomas Wills (former Lieutenant) which was held at the Parish Church of St. John Baptist, Cirencester, Gloucestershire, this afternoon.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by Sir Henry Elwes.

St. James's Palace

The Duchess of Edinburgh this morning visited the Seashell Trust, Stanley Road, Cheadle Hulme, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mrs. Diane Hawkins).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Hallé Concerts Society, this afternoon attended a Concert at Bridgewater Hall, Lower Mosley Street, Manchester.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, Court Member, the Fishmongers' Company, this afternoon visited Glenarm Organic Salmon Fish Farm, off Glenarm Harbour, Ballymena, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of County Antrim (Mr. David McCorkell).

Her Royal Highness, Court Member, the Fishmongers' Company, afterwards attended a Luncheon at Glenarm Castle.

St. James's Palace

The Duke of Kent, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), this morning visited the Regimental Museum at Edinburgh Castle.

His Royal Highness, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, today visited the Grand Lodge of Scotland, Freemasons Hall, 96 George Street, Edinburgh, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Robert Aldridge, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester. Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this morning held an Investiture of Dames and Knights of the Order at the Priory Church of St. John, St. John's Gate, 26 St. John's Lane, London EC1, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa).

The King held an Investiture at Windsor Castle this morning.

The King, Freeman, the Worshipful Company of Drapers, accompanied by The Queen, this afternoon received Mr. Thomas Harris (Master) at Buckingham Palace when His Majesty unveiled a portrait which had been commissioned by the Worshipful Company.

St. James's Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh this morning visited Oakham Castle and were received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Rutland (Dr. Sarah Furness).

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited Oakham Library, Catmose Street, Oakham.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh afterwards toured Rutland Water onboard MV RUTLAND BELLE.

Their Royal Highnesses later visited Rutland Showground, Showground Way, Oakham.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, United Kingdom Sailing Academy, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon held a Founders' Club Luncheon at St. James's Palace.

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, later attended the King's Centre for Military Health Research Conference at Bush House, Aldwych, London WC2.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Wellington Trust, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this evening attended a Dinner onboard HMS WELLINGTON (1934) at Temple Stairs, Victoria Embankment, London WC2, to mark the Ship's Ninetieth Anniversary and was received by Vice Admiral Sir Adrian Johns (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of Kent, President, Royal National Lifeboat Institution, this afternoon visited Fraserburgh Lifeboat Station, Shore Street, Fraserburgh, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr. Alexander Manson).

His Royal Highness, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), this evening held a Dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Buckingham Palace

The King, Colonel-in-Chief, Army Air Corps, this morning visited the Army Aviation Centre, Middle Wallop, Stockbridge, Hampshire, upon His Majesty retiring as Colonel-in-Chief, and was received by the Colonel Commandant (Lieutenant General Sir Nicholas Borton).

The King was received with a Royal Salute.

His Majesty, escorted by the Colonel Commandant, Colonel Edward Butterworth (Corps Colonel) and Warrant Officer Class One Philip Docherty (Corps Sergeant Major), visited the Army Flying Museum and met representatives of the Corps, veterans, families and members of museum staff.

The King proceeded on foot across the airfield to the Control Tower and met serving members of aircrew.

The Prince of Wales was present upon His Royal Highness's appointment as Colonel-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps.
