The Princess Royal, Vice Patron, the British Horse Society, this afternoon attended a Career Insight Day at Aberdeen Riding Club, Nether Anguston Farm, Peterculter, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Aberdeen (Councillor David Cameron, the Lord Provost).

Balmoral Castle

The Queen this morning attended a Poetry Together recital and tea party at Fielding Primary School, Wyndham Road, Ealing, London W13, before opening the School's new library and was received by Mr. Richard Kornicki (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Majesty this afternoon unveiled a portrait of a Special Operations Executive and named a room for the Executive, Noor-un-Nisa Inayat Khan GC, at the Royal Air Force Club, 128 Piccadilly, London W1, and, having been received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir Kenneth Olisa), attended a Reception.

Divine Service was held in Crathie Parish Church this morning.

The Very Reverend Professor David Fergusson preached the Sermon.

Balmoral Castle

The King, accompanied by The Queen, this morning presented the new Ballater Colour to Headquarters 51 Infantry Brigade and Headquarters Scotland at Balmoral Castle and was received by Major General William Wright (General Officer Scotland) and the Commander 51 Infantry Brigade (Brigadier Jody Davies).

His Majesty was received with a Royal Salute and subsequently inspected the Colour.

Following the Consecration, the Parade marched past The King and His Majesty afterwards held a Reception in the Castle.

The King this afternoon visited Lonach Highland Gathering and Games at Strathdon celebrating the Gathering's One Hundred and Eightieth Anniversary and the Lonach Highland and Friendly Society's Two Hundredth Anniversary and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr. Alexander Manson) and Sir James Forbes, Bt. (Patron of the Lonach Highland and Friendly Society).

Balmoral Castle

The King arrived at Balmoral Castle today, was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr. Alexander Manson) and then inspected the Royal Guard found by Balaklava Company, The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 5th Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

Buckingham Palace

By command of The King, Mr. Alistair Harrison (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Said Rustamov at 41 Holland Park, London W11, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Court of St. James's.

By command of His Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps afterwards called upon Her Excellency Ms. Lakisha Grant Kisha Abba Grant at King Charles Street, London SW1, in order to bid farewell to Her Excellency upon relinquishing her appointment as High Commissioner for Grenada in London.

Today is the Anniversary of the Birthday of The Princess Royal.

Appendix To Court Circular

The King has been pleased to appoint the Lord Young of Old Windsor to be a Permanent Lord in Waiting to His Majesty.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Royal Colonel, this morning visited 2nd Battalion The Rifles at Longmoor Training Camp, Longmoor, Liss, Hampshire.

Buckingham Palace

The King this morning visited the Port of Nigg, Cromarty Firth, to mark its recently-awarded Green Freeport status and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty (Mrs. Joanie Whiteford) and the Chairman of Global Energy Group (Mr. Roy McGregor).

His Majesty, escorted by the Chairman, viewed the Induction Centre and was received by the Managing Director of Mitsui and Company Europe plc (Mr. Yukinobu Nakano), before viewing Fabrication Shops housing construction and assembly workspaces and meeting members of the team working on the construction of the J-tube frames for the Moray West Offshore Wind Farm.

The King afterwards visited the inner dock and was received by the Executive Director of Renewables and Energy Transition (Mr. Iain Sinclair), the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sumitomo Electric (Mr. Masayoshi Matsumoto) and the Chairman of Highlands and Islands Enterprise (Mr. Alistair Dodds).

His Majesty subsequently visited Nigg Skills Academy and, having been received by the Chairman (Mr. Alistair Kennedy), met students and an instructor.
