The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Member, the Incorporation of Coopers of Glasgow, today presented The Earl of Forfar Awards at the Trades Hall, 85 Glassford Street, Glasgow, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow (Councillor Jacqueline McLaren, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).

His Royal Highness, Patron, Badminton Scotland, this afternoon attended the Scottish Open Badminton International at the Emirates Arena, 1000 London Road, Glasgow, and was received by Ms. Ruth Maltman (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow).

The Duchess of Edinburgh this evening departed Heathrow Airport for Ethiopia.

Balmoral Castle

The King this morning drove to the old Gairnshiel Bridge, near Ballater, and was received by His Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr. Alexander Manson) and Mr. Donald MacPherson (Head of Bridges Team, Aberdeenshire Council).

His Majesty was received with a Royal Salute by the Lonach Highlanders.

The King afterwards walked to the new bridge, was received by Mrs. Judy Whyte (Provost of Aberdeenshire) and officially opened the new Gairnshiel Jubilee Bridge.

St. James's Palace

The Princess Royal, Colonel, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), this morning attended a Household Cavalry Medal Parade at Powle Lines, Picton Barracks, Bulford, Wiltshire.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited Sustainable Ventures, County Hall, Belvedere Road, London SE1, and was received by Mr. Christopher Wellbelove (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Princess of Wales, Patron, Rugby Football League, this morning visited Allam Sports Centre, Inglemire Lane, Hull, and was received by Mr. Christopher Oughtred (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of East Riding of Yorkshire).

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem, this morning held a Meeting.

His Royal Highness, Royal Patron, Peace and Prosperity Trust, this afternoon received Mrs. Huda Alkhamis-Kanoo (Founder, the Abu Dhabi Music and Arts Foundation) and Mr. Rajai Khouri (Chairman, Peace and Prosperity Trust).

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Embroiderers' Guild, this morning visited the Knitting and Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace, London N22, to celebrate the Thirtieth Anniversary of the Graduate Showcase, and was received by Captain Peter Baker RNR Ret'd (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of Kent, Patron, Wigmore Hall, this evening attended a Gala Concert and Reception at 36 Wigmore Street, London, W1, and was received by Mr. Gareth Neame (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon visited Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club's Elite Performance Centre, 60 Mash Barn Lane, Lancing, and was received by Sir Richard Kleinwort (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex).

His Royal Highness later visited Boulder Brighton, Victoria Road Trading Estate, Brighton, and was received by Mr. Graham Peters (Deputy Lieutenant of East Sussex).
