The Prince of Wales visited The Kia Oval Cricket Ground in London alongside Pierre Paslier, Co-Founder and CEO of Earthshot Prize winner Notpla, who has announced a new multi-million-pound contract to introduce Notpla's seaweed-based, natural food packaging to over 50 sporting and event venues around the UK.

The new contract will see Levy UK + Ireland, part of Compass Group, using an expected 75 million items of Notpla’s seaweed-based food packaging materials over the next 3 years, helping them to meet their ambitious climate targets.

The Kia Oval, which is situated on land owned by The Duchy of Cornwall, is one of the venues where the boxes will be used, alongside other major sporting, entertainment and event spaces including The Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Twickenham Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London’s O2 Arena and Wimbledon’s All England Lawn Tennis Club.

His Royal Highness played a pivotal role in supporting the relationship between Notpla and Levy UK + Ireland having spoken to representatives at Levy during a visit to Notpla’s London headquarters last year.
